Easy Peach Charlotte

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 5 tbsp soft butter or margarine
  • 1 lb Sliced peaches (13 oz. can)
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon peel grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

Combine brown sugar and bread crumbs; blend in butter until mixture is crumbly. Spread half of mixture on bottom of round 9 inch or 8 inch square baking dish. Top with drained or fresh peaches; sprinkle with lemon peel and lemon juice. Cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. 

Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
