Deep Dish Brownies – Phyllis Miller

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 C butter or margarine,melted
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 3/4 C Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 C Cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 Eggs

Directions:

Blend melted butter or margarine, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Add eggs; beat well with spoon. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt: gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Spread in a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or until the brownie begins to pull away from the edges of the pan. Cool; cut into squares.
